Daniel Barber
Dan Barber started his journey to your home many years ago. Growing up in the warehouse of his grandfather's business, he cut his teeth changing light fixtures, installing intercom systems, and installing and servicing central vacuum systems.
He attended college and received a B.A. in Photography and Digital Imaging where he learned the importance of every detail and how a small change can have a meaningful impact.
After he graduated he tried out a few career paths until he returned home to his first love and went full time in the construction industry again.
He obtained his Building Contractor license in NC and in the process realized his passion, to learn and to teach others what he learned. As he often says "Knowledge is useless unless it's used."
It was this passion that led him to the path of becoming a licensed Home Inspector. "There are too many people who own a home but don't know anything about it. As a general contractor I was often called in after the damage was done and when asked the homeowner hadn't seen the signs before it was too late. I realized that as a home inspector I could educate the homeowners and help them to maintain their home instead of waiting until it broke beyond repair as well as see what they hadn't seen in their home."
As part of his "learn everyday" mentality he has obtained the below inspector certifications awarded by InterNACHI® - the world's largest organization of residential and commercial property inspectors. And as part of his passion to educate he has found great pleasure in creating the thematic blogs on this site.

These issues can range from simple repairs or replacements to more serious damage, impacting safety and overall well-being. What sets our inspectors apart is their status as Licensed NC General Contractors, bringing a wealth of experience in identifying and addressing a wide array of issues. Rather than instilling fear or presenting a bleak outlook, they take the time to help you understand the issue, why it matters, and provide insights into the necessary steps for resolution.
